Some web browsers have this functionality built-in and can detect
when a subscription is available while you are viewing the web page.
Other news reader applications need to have the hyperlinks added
manually.

What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication.
With an RSS reader or content aggregator, you can subscribe to
specific information sources and be alerted to new content on my
blog, my calendar, and many school division web pages. The
“headlines” of the new information come to you automatically
without requiring you to check a website for changes. |

RSS TIPS |

If you use an RSS reader program like Google
or Bloglines, make that page your browser's home page so
every time you get on the Internet you will see your updated RSS
feeds. |
