SchoolMatters is not affiliated with any PTO or with the school system. I launched this electronic newsletter in January 2000 to keep parents, teachers, the school board, school staff and other elected officials informed about happenings at our schools, in the community, at the school board, and in the school system that impact our children.

This is an announcement-only list, and subscribers will receive at most 5-10 messages a month. It is not a discussion list on which anyone can post his or her comments or opinions. If you think something needs to be announced, tell me!  Through these periodic newsletters, I hope we will all learn about important issues and help inform others who will get involved and help improve our schools.

I will also make a few promises and clarifications:

bulletFirst, if you wish to contribute something and remain anonymous, I will keep the source confidential.
bulletSecond, I will not share the e-mail addresses of the people on this list with any other parties.
bulletThird, this list is about improved communication and positive change; it will not be used for personal attacks against any individual.
